It's been awhile...
Entrepreneurship is a beast/rollercoaster.

In the last few months I think I’ve created a DIY entrepreneurship clinic within my life. Between juggling the early beginnings of my legal career, to investor/business meetings, creating pitch decks, market research, meeting other founders to learning how to code.
The goal of this newsletter was always to document my journey in both law & entrepreneurship.
So here’s what I’ve learned recently:
An idea is just an idea until execution
You can have an awesome idea and go patent it. But the magic sauce is really in building the idea out. A lot of people are scared to talk about ideas because being “the first player in the market” is a competitive advantage. However, being open to criticism and expansion from the right people, can save you a lot of time and money later down the road.
When the entrepreneurship bug hits, it HITS.
Entrepreneurship isn’t for the weak. The highs are high and the lows are low.
For 3 months straight my brain was consumed with the business. Building it out, strategizing, hiring a co-founder and market testing. I had an awesome meeting with an investor and founder friends weeks prior that felt like I was on top of the world. Flash forward, two weeks ago was a harder meeting that left my cofounder and I at a point where it was time to go back to the drawing board. I’ll never forget what a fellow tech founder friend recently said, “I don’t wish it upon anyone to get bit by the tech founder bug.”
You’re ALWAYS learning
I think if you’ve played a sport growing up this part may resonate with you. You understand the all in mentality. For years I only read autobiographies for two reasons. One, because I was lazy with my information consumption and I only wanted to read if the book would inspire me or teach me something about life. Second, if I was going to read it was going to be to learn from the bests. Whether it was Kobe or successful business people.
When you go all in, all the content you consume like Kobe says is about getting better at your craft. Whether it’s related to law/entrepreneurship that’s all I’ve been listening, watching and reading.
You also find nuggets of wisdom in the smallest encounters to relate back to YOUR journey. I picked up snowboarding again and while relearning the sport I couldn’t help but relate the parallels of being a student of life to all the ideologies that come with sports. Fall, get back up. Try again. Get a little bit better each day. Don’t quit, stick with it and never give up.
You never know how the skills of being dedicated and persistent in athletics will contribute to your character and add to your life.
