Tech week in San Francisco

The Energy

San Francisco (SF) Tech Week is a vibrant series of events bringing innovators and entrepreneurs together. The spirit of technological advancement is craved and encouraged. People are creating something or thinking of ideas to make the cutting nxt technology. The week is a series of events for visionaries, those dabbling in entrepreneurship, and tech enthusiasts to reshape the tech industry and make their dent.

Thinking & ideas have no cap/limit

Spending time with my uncle, an ex-Netflix engineer the conversations we had was “yes that’s a good idea, but what’s something that hasn’t been thought of yet that will be a painkiller for others”. The idea generation stage is to fail fast to eventually build something that can be the “thing” people desperately need in their lives. The way to think feels like no dream or idea is too big. The question is how each idea could be a bigger lightbulb moment.

The impossible is being built

Imagine Uber but without the driver. A self-driving car. We thought Uber was the biggest app but those in Silicon Valley are constantly trying to build something that makes our lives even easier.

Tech events happen often & everyone is welcoming

My first time in SF I was a bit nervous. The people in SF are some of the kindest I have met. Everyone wants to brainstorm together and ideas are constantly talked about to refine the business idea to build something even better. I was inspired by the people who make up Silicon Valley. No one cares about impressing each other by wearing big brands, no one “shows off” their money, and everyone is very nice. Wealth speaks volumes and it isn’t screamed. It’s quiet and its subtle.

Being around my uncle and his friends, everyone pushes each other to think big and do whatever is best for their kids. It was wholesome to witness this.
